Race War Part 1
Co-Written by Nicole G

So it seems Ben spoiled you all with all that color and everyone’s been asking if I plan to keep the color going. Well, I wasn’t, but by popular demand here it is. SJ is now in color. And what a perfect story to make the switch. I think we’ll be seeing a lot of RED!

Good to be back. Thanks again to Ben, Julie and (most of all) Kevin. You guys rocked. For the record, the story continues from where I left off. The last month of guest strips were great but this is MY show dammit! Chris’ life is in MY hands! Now, lets have ourselves a good old fashioned race war.

ACTION PICKLE KINGDOM – Preview Panels!

I’m really far along in the comic now so I wanted to start throwing up some preview art. Not full pages cuz OMG SPOILERS~! but just select panels from around the comic that I thought were fun. Click ‘em to see ‘em bigger.

ACTION PICKLE KINGDOM – Free Comic Book Day

Saturday, May 1st is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY and I will be taking part with my third FCBD book! My first  FCBD foray was in 2006 with the original printing of what is now Operation Pajama Pants #1 (the FBCD edition didn’t have the back-up story). The 2nd was in 2007 when I teamed up with M. Sean McManus for the zany crime comic Mr. Lucy (I really have to find an opportunity to reprint that. Shame to let that go to waste). Now after 2 years off I make my FCBD return with ACTION PICKLE KINGDOM! APK is a crossover between Steve Conte’s Action Figure Kingdom and the long gone but not forgotten Pickles & Retards (I wanted to call the book Action Figure Retards, but Steve vetoed that idea). Steve’s writing and I’m providing the art (it’s not like Cory’s giving me anything to draw).

The book is about halfway drawn and right on schedule to be done for FCBD. As I finish things up and get them scanned I’ll start posting some preview artwork. In the meantime here is the cover for you to check out (click the image to see a larger view)! But if you want to read the full book there will be only one place to get it. That’s right, Action Pickle Kingdom will be available EXCLUSIVELY at Funnybooks Comics & Stuff, in Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey. So come on down on May 1st and get your copy of Action Pickle Kingdom and other great FREE COMICS!

This is a pretty old one. A few years actually. It’s the back cover to Sidekicked issue 1. but I happened to come across this scan I had of the pencils so I figured I’d throw it up here.

Scanner. Buh.

My scanner’s not working, so the strip will be up in the morning when I get to work. Sorry for the delay.

Secret Project

I’m involved in a comics anthology project called Secret Project. It’s being released on the web with a new 4-8 page story released every 2 weeks. Well this week it’s my turn! Head over to www.secretprojectcomic.com and check how my story, The Mugging, written by Will Swyer and inked by Tom Schloendorn.

You can also check out my interview about my involvement in Secret Project over at the No Rest For The Wretched blog.

I’m gonna let those who know what this is enjoy it. The rest of you need to get with the program.

Secret Jew Returns!

Tomorrow! But it may not be till the morning as opposed to the usually midnight posting. But it’ll be there.

Moving… Can’t Draw.

I’m unexpectedly moving, so SJ is going to have to be put on hold for at least a week. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Jets Baby!

Take that, Chargers! On to the AFC championship!

No long winded commentary. Just celebrating a good thing.

For both nostalgic reasons and because Robert Kirkman’s a good enough writer to craft a fun action flicky type story, I’m really digging the new Image United series (not to mention i think having each artist draw their own character is a really cool artistic experiment). So to commemorate it i decided to do a little Image team-up drawing.
